The Host was a fantastic novel!! Thank you Jill for choosing it for our first book to read!!
After figuring out that it had nothing to do Mormon culture or church history, I thought, OK Barbara, I'll read it for the sake of the girls book club.....so I read the reviews....A science fiction/romance book about aleins that overrun the Earth and invade human bodies and erase personalities....then I thought, Oh Crap!!! What have I got myself into?!? But I kept the faith.....and started the book....and goodness was I ever Wrong!! The Host, kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and sometimes way into the night and then all the next day....call it a compulsive disorder....but, I couldn't put it down!! I grew to love each character of the book....even Kyle....and especially loved the twist at the end!! I would recommend the book to anyone!!
I love you all and can't wait until we choose the next book!!!
